Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), is a state key university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. WUT is among the first batch of universities which have entered the national "211 Project" and China's "Double-First Class" Initiative. WUT is jointly developed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport. As the university is directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education which cultivates the largest amount of talents in three major industrial sectors, namely, building and construction materials, transportation, and automobile industries, WUT becomes an important base for the cultivation of high-level scientific talents and technological innovation for the three industrial sectors.
Since its establishment through merger in 2000, the School of Economics has consistently upheld its guiding philosophy of "prioritizing education and academic excellence," maintaining rigorous academic standards while fostering a culture of innovation. Over the years, the School of Economics has achieved significant milestones in talent development and institutional growth. It currently offers four undergraduate programs (Economics, International Economics and Trade, Finance, and Digital Economy), a comprehensive graduate education system encompassing master's and doctoral programs in Applied Economics, four specialized master's degrees (International Business, Finance, Digital Economy, and Public Administration), and a postdoctoral research station in Applied Economics. The School of Economics’s research infrastructure includes three provincial-level research bases and six university-level research platforms.
Building on its established strengths in economic disciplines, the School of Economics actively embraces emerging academic frontiers. Strategic investments are being made in cutting-edge fields such as digital economy development, artificial intelligence integration in economic systems, and green low-carbon economic models. Teaching-oriented category
PhDs (or post-doctoral) from prestigious universities (research institutes) worldwide with strong teaching abilities or potential, generally no older than 35 years old. Candidates with post-doctoral experience should generally not be older than 38 years old.
Postdoctoral

Outstanding Talent Category, Teaching Oriented Category
The university provides 30,000 -200,000 RMB scientific research start-up fee or one-off; the college provides 30,000 -100,000 RMB talent scientific research allowance every year, and the funding period is 3-5 years.
Provide a certain amount of settling-in fee and young teachers' apartments in accordance with the university's relevant policies
Salary for the corresponding post, subsidies and performance with reference to the deputy senior level or on a case-by-case basis
Postdoctoral
The university postdoctoral independent innovation fund of 20,000-60,000 yuan; the college provides 20,000 yuan of research stipend per year, funded for two years.
