Wuhan University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is among the first group of universities included in the national "211 Project" and the "Double First-Class" construction initiative. The university was jointly established by the Ministry of Education and other ministries, including the Ministry of Transport, and it trains the largest number of talents for the building materials, transportation, and automotive industries among universities directly under the Ministry of Education.

Since its merger and re-establishment in 2000, the School of Economics has consistently upheld the educational philosophy of "Putting Education First, Academic Excellence Foremost," adhering to rigorous scholarship and innovative spirit while continuously pursuing excellence. The School currently offers three undergraduate programs: Economics, Finance, and Digital Economy (AI-oriented). It also provides master's and doctoral degree programs in Applied Economics, four professional master's programs (International Business, Finance, Digital Economy, and Public Administration), and has established a post-doctoral research station in Applied Economics. The School hosts three provincial-level research bases and six university-level research bases.

Under the new circumstances, leveraging its existing strengths in economics, the School is committed to investing in research and teaching in emerging fields such as the digital economy, integration of AI and economics, and the green low-carbon economy. It strives to build first-class research platforms and innovation practice bases, encourages faculty and students to explore new research directions, and fosters close industry-university-research partnerships with enterprises, aiming to cultivate a new-generation of economics talents equipped for the development of new productive forces.

Postdoctoral

Ph.D. holders (or post-doctoral researchers) from internationally renowned universities (or research institutions) with strong research capabilities; typically under 30 years of age.

Young Top-notch Talents: possessing a stable research direction, solid research foundation, and strong potential for development. Applicants for first-tier positions generally under 40; second-tier generally under 35.
