【Economic Forum】Financial Transformation Driven by Fintech: Industry Transformation, Investment Innovation and Career Future

    On the afternoon of May 15, the 295th Economics Lecture Theatre of the School of Economics was successfully held in Jianhu Lecture Hall.YAP KIAN, an expert from Columbia Business School, was invited as the guest speaker to give an academic report with the theme of "Financial Change Driven by Fintech: Industry Transformation, Investment Innovation and Career Future", and more than 100 teachers and students from the college attended this academic activity.

    Combined with his own experience in Hong Kong, Singapore and other international financial centers, expert YAP KIAN talked about the profound change of financial technology (Fintech) to the traditional financial industry.He pointed out the changes in banking and non-banking financial institutions, SME finance, pension finance and other areas of change, guiding students to think deeply about hot financial issues.The expert introduced the human and economic characteristics of Southeast Asian countries, allowing students to expand their understanding of the diversified international financial environment beyond the traditional European and American economies.

    At the same time, YAP KIAN experts also combined their own energy of many changes in the workplace over the past 20 years, and advised students to "not be overburdened with righteousness, not to live with high debt and high leverage, so as to enhance their ability to cope with changes in the workplace".
